Amazing! Start by marking your calendar for our wedding dates! Formal invitations will arrive later, at that time you should plan to return to this website for additional information and to begin planning your travel. If you like to plan your travel early to maximize your options and minimize your costs, we have some resources on this website to help get you started before formal invitations are sent.
Visit our RSVP page to indicate your attendance for each wedding event, meal preferences, and how many guests (adults / children) will be attending with you.
We have created a suggested timeline for planning your travel on the Timeline for Travel Planning page. Popular accommodations can book 10-12 months in advance, so if you’re concerned about having access to these options, we advise looking sooner rather than later. Flights, transportation within Costa Rica, and excursions can be booked after formal invitations are received.
We suggest flying to San José’s Juan Santa María (SJO) International Airport (see Transport page for more details). You can also take a short local flight from SJO to a smaller regional airport in Quepos (XQP) which is very close to Manuel Antonio, but the cheapest option will be to take ground transportation from San José to Manuel Antonio.
Our venue is able to coordinate van rides for our wedding guests between the San José Airport and Manuel Antonio before and after the wedding (more info on the Transport page). Guests can also arrange their own transfers.
No – visitors don’t need to rent their own cars. There are taxis within Manuel Antonio and visitors can also book van rides between cities or for transfers within Costa Rica.
There are many hotels close to our venue (see Accommodations page). We also recommend checking out Vrbo and AirBnB for many spectacular rental properties – some of these rental houses are just steps away from our venue!
We will provide shuttle rides within Manuel Antonio for the night of the wedding ceremony / reception. In general, many accommodations are walking distance or a short cab ride from our venue (see Transport page).
For our ceremony and reception, we request that guests wear tropical formal attire. Please see the full events schedule on the main page for other event attire suggestions.
No vaccines are required for travel to Costa Rica from the United States. The CDC recommends that most travelers to Costa Rica be up to date on routine vaccines and consider addition vaccinations for COVID-19, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, and Typhoid. There is no malaria in this area of Costa Rica.
Yes – a valid passport is required for international travel to Costa Rica. Visit the US State Department website for more details if you need to apply for, renew, or replace a passport. Routine processing time for new passports is 6-8 weeks (plus mailing times). If you currently have a valid passport, make sure it isn’t going to expire within 6 months of May 2025.
This area is known for having a huge variety of activities available, including tours in and around Manuel Antonio National Park (guided hiking / ecological tours, horseback riding, mangrove kayaking, white-water rafting, canopy ziplining, ATV tours, catamarans, parasailing, surfing, fishing etc.). The town of Manuel Antonio also has a vibrant culinary community and many beautiful beaches.
There will be a mixture of international and local cuisines, including vegetarian options.
Although our wedding events begin formally on Saturday May 3rd, 2025, some guests may prefer to arrive in Costa Rica at least one day earlier. Many flights that depart from the US on May 3rd will not allow time to reach Manuel Antonio prior to our first event. Therefore, if you plan to attend the Welcome Night Cocktail Hour we suggest taking a flight on or before Friday May 2nd, 2025.

No – American dollars and credit cards are pretty much universally accepted within Costa Rica. You will receive Costa Rican colones in change from some establishments but it is generally not necessary to change currency in advance of travel.
May is a great month to visit Costa Rica. Although it’s officially the start of the seven-month rainy season, early May usually isn’t particularly rainy. Most days are sunny with occasional afternoon showers, with coastal temperatures between 70-90 °F.
The beach is a short downhill walk (~5 min) from Villa Punto de Vista. Our villa also includes chauffeured golf cart rides between the villa and the nearby beach for our guests.
No – only our wedding guests will have access to the property during the five days of our wedding celebrations. Think of Villa Punto de Vista as a fully-rented private hotel (or a big AirBnB) with event and service staff!
